As we all know Jesus Christ lived in the times of the Roman Empire but not too many people know, the actual history behind it. While Jesus was alive and active the Emperor of Rome was Tiberius but when Jesus was born Julius Ceasar Augustus(the official first emperor of Rome) was actually in power.
Tiberius had been Emperor for Twenty years, during the time of crucifixion of Jesus. Pontius Pilate was the Governor of Judea who gave the order to crucify Jesus, he had only been in power for seven years. Even though we know now that Pilate had Jesus crucified some don’t know that Pontius Pilate was removed from office for the use of excessive force on a person. Even though he went to trial Tiberius had already died before Pilate could have his trial.
Since the senate of Rome deified the Emperor, Jesus Christ never met Julius Caesar (the first emperor of Rome) or Tiberius (the second emperor of Rome) in his life.
